Ask for music and refine it by artist, mood or era; save, queue or follow without leaving the conversation; ask about the story behind a song, album or podcast; or explore your own listening history. It brings a conversational agent to an app used by 700M people every month, on Home and Now Playing across iOS and Android.

Describe what you want to hear in your own words, and Spotify builds a playlist from that prompt, your listening history and what’s happening in music right now. Playlists can refresh daily or weekly, every track comes with a note on why it’s there, and the same feature now builds podcast playlists too. I led iOS development from architecture through launch to hundreds of millions of listeners.

I was a core engineer from the early MVP through global launch to 250M+ Premium users in 80 countries, owning how video reaches people on iOS: playback, surfacing, metadata and discovery.

Better is an online mortgage company that set out to put the whole home-buying journey, from finding a home to closing on it, in one app. I was the lead developer on that app, released to 200K mortgage customers, and managed two engineers.

myChevrolet, myBuick, myGMC and myCadillac are GM’s owner apps: remote start, lock and unlock, vehicle status and more, from your phone. I helped rebuild all four in React Native, released to millions of drivers in March 2021.

FordPass and Lincoln Way are the owner apps for Ford and Lincoln drivers. I was a technical anchor on the iOS team, shipping features for 4M+ drivers around the world.

I worked on the EV Trip Planner, which I led from scratch, along with remote commands, the home screen and vehicle details.

Mission scientists need to see where a rover has been, plan where it goes next, and search everything it has collected. I contributed to the mission planning tools for NASA’s Perseverance rover, building mapping features that visualize rover geolocation data, and tested them on simulated Mars missions here on Earth.
